FAQ
Short answers to how the market works. Need a missing set? Request a catalogue addition.
Do buyers pay platform fees?
No. You pay the listed price plus shipping only — no platform fee or card surcharge line.
What’s the difference between a card and an offer?
The catalogue card is the shared identity (set, number, finish — or grader and grade for slabs). An offer is a seller’s listing on that card: price, condition (for raw), quantity, and shipping. Graded offers also include a certificate number and photos.
What appears in a seller’s public shop?
A public shop shows that seller’s live listings, ship-from state, and earned trust history. Draft, sold, and out-of-stock listings stay hidden. You still pay the listed price plus shipping only, with escrow protection applied at checkout.
Where does condition live?
On the offer, not as a separate catalogue product. Near mint and lightly played of the same card share one product page with different seller asks.
When does a listing need photos?
Live raw singles from A$20 need at least one listing photo. Graded slabs always need photos plus a cert number. Sealed product uses a seal checklist from A$150 instead of listing photos. High-value singles from A$500 need a chase photo checklist. Printed sports autographs need an autograph checklist at any price — unsigned sports cards are not treated as autographs.
How do graded cards work?
Each grader and grade is its own catalogue product (a PSA 10 is not the same as a CGC 10 or a CGA 10). Each listing needs a cert number and photos so you can inspect that specific slab. When the grader publishes a lookup, the cert number links out so you can compare the record yourself — we do not mark a slab verified from that link.
Can I shop singles, packs, and sealed product?
Yes. On Pokémon and One Piece you can browse singles, booster packs, sealed (ETBs, booster boxes, or starter decks), and graded slabs. On AFL, shop Footy Stars singles (including numbered parallels), 2025 Eminence base, 2025 Supremacy Rookies, and sealed product — Footy Stars packs/boxes/blasters/starters (2023–2026), Eminence packs and boxes, plus 2025 Seamless and 2024 Legacy Ultimate boxes — and graded slabs. Factory-sealed items don’t use condition grades. Supplies such as sleeves and binders come later.
What does a print run or serial like 07/25 mean?
On numbered AFL cards the catalogue product is the parallel and its print run (for example /25 or /360). The copy serial — 07/25 — belongs to that seller’s offer, not the product name. If there are no sales yet we still don’t invent a market price.
What does “n=” or “Sales” mean on market prices?
That’s the sample size — how many real sales the number is based on. If there are none, we don’t invent a market price — you’ll see an empty or watch state instead. Guide (P40), when those sales exist, is a cautious read of recent platform sales. On Discover, climbing/cooling lists use a sales floor that depends on the window (lower for 24 hours, five for 30 days), and every row still shows its sales count.
Where do I find a past order?
Signed-in purchases live under Account → Orders. Open a row to track shipping, confirm delivery, or start a dispute. Guest checkouts stay on the confirmation link until you create an account and link the order.
Can I buy from multiple sellers at once?
Yes. Your cart groups items by seller with separate shipping lines, then checkout holds funds in escrow until delivery is confirmed.
A set or card is missing — what should I do?
Use the catalogue request form on the Help page. Staff review every request in the ops queue. We curate sets deliberately (no free-text junk SKUs), so requests help us prioritise what to add next — they do not create a listing.
Can I buy Pro or Elite myself?
Not yet. Paid plan upgrades and their Pro API quotas wait until subscription billing is live. Until then, staff assign Pro and Elite. You can switch down to a lower plan yourself. Casual stays free.
Why do some listings stay in draft?
Listings go live after identity and payout bank details are both verified. The selling console stays available while a check is in progress or if it is rejected — a rejected check shows a reason and a path to Help.
How do sellers get paid?
We hold the buyer’s money in escrow until delivery is confirmed, then the sale is released and the seller’s proceeds are paid straight into their Australian bank account. Sellers give us their bank details once — there’s no third-party payment account to sign up for. Standard payouts run weekly and are free; an instant payout is available for a small fee that the seller pays, never the buyer.
What happens if my order is refunded?
If staff refunds a held or disputed seller-order, we return that seller’s share of your payment first, then mark the escrow as refunded. You still only ever paid list price plus shipping — there is no platform fee to claw back.
How do chargebacks and payout holds work for sellers?
A card chargeback is tracked separately from escrow. We may hold a risk reserve on released sales (usually 10% for 14 days; higher for restricted sellers or high-value items). If a chargeback is lost and the seller did not meet protection rules, the amount is owed back and nets off future payouts until the balance is square. Buyers are not charged platform fees either way.
Do sellers get GST invoices?
We pay seller proceeds straight into an Australian bank account. GST fee statements for registered sellers are not issued yet — keep your own records for now. Buyers are never charged a platform fee or GST line.
Can I make a best offer on a listing?
Yes on asks of A$50 or more. Make offer targets that seller’s listing (not the whole SKU). You need a card on file to send an offer; if the seller accepts, we charge immediately and hold the order in escrow. Open offers and counters expire after 24 hours if unanswered. Buy-it-now at the ask still uses Add to cart. Live auctions are out of scope.
How am I protected if I pay here?
We hold your payment until you confirm delivery (then a 3-day dispute window before release). If you don’t confirm, we treat the order as delivered 10 days after it ships and release payment to the seller 3 days later. Open a dispute from the order page before then if something is wrong — a person reviews it. This covers the purchase itself, including cards you intend to resell.
Can I pay a seller directly (PayID, PayPal, bank transfer)?
No. Asking a buyer or seller to pay outside this site is an immediate ban. Use checkout and escrow. If someone asks you to go off-platform, do not pay, and tell us from the order messages or Help.
How fast should a seller ship?
Sellers ship within two business days of payment. Tracking is required from A$50. Pack to survive the post; insurance is available from A$200. A missed ship-by date is flagged on the order and can affect the seller’s rating. There is no late-shipping fee.
